Announcing a New CAPAL Community of Practice: Research and Writing

CAPAL is excited to announce a new Community of Practice. The Research and Writing COP will be a peer writing group that will enable interested CAPAL members to:

  • Share draft papers/chapters for members’ comments;
  • Workshop ideas/test methodologies
  • Dress rehearse conference presentations (eg over Skype)
  • Share calls for papers
  • Collaborate
  • Suggest relevant literature
  • Refer to other colleagues’ expertise
  • Discuss current/emerging scholarship
  • Propose conference sessions/panels
  • Contribute content to CJAL or other journals

Facilitators:

  • Michael Dudley, Community Outreach Librarian, University of Winnipeg
  • Rhiannon Jones, EMBA/MBA Liaison Librarian, Business Library: Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary

Meetings:

  • Monthly/bimonthly meetings will be held by Skype.
  • The first meeting will be held in October.
