Description
Climate change is here and unavoidable. What can libraries and librarians do to contribute to climate action in our communities? This CoP will share, communicate, and facilitate action in Canadian academic libraries.
Objectives
The objectives of the Climate Action CoP will include:
- Sharing information & resources focused on climate action
- Communicating and liaising about climate work happening across institutions, organizations, and associations
- Highlighting research in the areas of climate action and sustainability in libraries
Membership and Structure
- This CoP is open to all CAPAL members with an interest in climate action in libraries.
- The format will be an hour-long monthly virtual meeting held on the second Wednesday of each month (3:00 pm EST)
- There is a standing agenda, which can vary over time
