Dear CAPAL members,

The CAPAL Student Committee is excited to announce the call for applications for mentors and mentees for the Winter 2026 iteration of our career-focused Student Mentorship Program. If there are areas in academic librarianship (e.g., information literacy and teaching, cataloging and metadata, collection development, archives and special collections) that you enjoy exploring or sharing about, this may be the perfect program for you!

The program will run from January 2026 to April 2026, and is open to all members. We welcome academic library professionals at all stages of their careers to support students’ professional development and offer career advice as mentors, and students and recent graduates currently or previously enrolled in library programs to join as mentees. We also offer the option to extend the mentorship to August 2026 if mutually agreed upon by mentors and mentees.

Best wishes,
