Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the conference programming committee, I am pleased to present to you the preliminary program for #CAPAL15 .
This year the program has been arranged according to themes including: critical practice, whiteness and academic librarianship, access, critical pedagogies, corporatization and the academic library, copyright, information literacy and neoliberalism, and academic freedom to name a few. We are also excited to welcome our keynote speakers, Henry Giroux from McMaster University and Sarah T. Roberts from Western University.
In addition to our AGM and committee meetings we have also co-sponsored a roundtable on the Royal Society of Canada’s Expert Panel Report, The Future Now: Canada’s Libraries, Archives, and Public Memory.
We hope you enjoy this exceptional program.
